Eleven Months Old

Sage is 11 months old! I guess this is the last time I'll blog a monthly post without it being "Sage is 1 year and so many months."

So much is happening so quickly! She took her first step on July 2nd and has steadily increased the number since to 8 at a time. She walks short distances between furniture or people and then crawls when she really wants to get somewhere quickly. She's all over the house making herself at home by rearranging everything she can get her hands on. Her all time favorite game is "Throw it in the Bathtub." She thinks everything belongs in the bathtub, so when something's missing, we always check the bathtub! She loves to eat and, apart from broccoli, there is really nothing she doesn't like. She is eating solid foods, so no more pureeing for me! (Apart from her morning cereal, my blender is finally getting a break!) Her favorite is fruit and avocados. She is also now waving "Bye Bye" to everyone when it's time to leave.

As her mobility has increased, so has her vocabulary. She says "Thank You" when you give her something, but it sounds more like "Ta Doo." Some other new words include dog, kitty cat, Nana, PawPaw (which is the "Puh" sound twice) and Grammy (which usually comes out Brammy). As we are learning where our body parts are, she has also picked up the word eyes and teeth. Her all time favorite word is definitely "Daddy!"

We're so proud of Baby Sage and everything new she is learning. We've had a blast watching her grow into what is now a little toddler!
