Friends

Sage and I braved the nasty cold rain today to have lunch with my best friend, Sara, and her daughter Wylie. The girls had a blast! Wylie is super sweet and loves to share and Sage just adored her!

I had a blast visiting with Sara and I love sharing motherhood with her!

Brother

Sage loves to play with her baby brother! Solomon gets excited and wiggles and kicks when he hears Sage's voice and she loves to feel him kicking.

I cannot wait for the two of them to meet face to face!

17 months

Sage is 17 months old!

I'm not really sure how to express this, but something magical has happened over this last month. Sage has suddenly blossomed into an amazing little girl. She's become her very own little person and has just exploded with the sweetest little personality.

Her vocabulary is increasing rapidly and she has begun to repeat almost anything you encourage her to say. She can count to three (on toes, oddly enough) "Un, ooo, ree" while pointing to the toes. She can also very clearly say some of her ABC's. She gets "Ah, Beh, Ceh, Dee" and the lots of random letters after that. Some of her most common words are this?, that?, Up!, Ewe!, Ta-Da (thank you), book, juice, horse, bite, wa-wa (water) and the classics like Daddies and Bye-Bye. She has no problem communicating what she wants and needs and is very expressive!

She loves to play, color, read, and do anything "Out" (outside). Since it's been cold, we spend most of our time inside making messes and cleaning them up. She also likes to clean windows, cabinets and her table top. She has learned how to get a cup from her drawer, fill it from the water in the fridge, and carry it around while drinking. This leaves little puddles around on the floor, but she will gladly get a towel from the cabinet and clean them up. She is also a pro at putting away dirty laundry and hands me clean dishes from the dishwasher and clean clothes from the washer while I put them in the dryer. It really is a huge help to me considering these tasks are particularly hard on my back. She also loves to sweep!

Her all time favorite thing to do is play with her babies. She is constantly feeding them, swaddling them, and changing their diapers. They make several trips in and out of her play stroller and get carried all over the house. She's definitely a little Mommy!

I cannot tell you how absolutely amazing this past month has been. I have been blessed to share every moment with such a beautiful little person and I know it's only going to get more fun from here!
