Bye-Bye

Sage loves to go Bye-Bye, especially now that she's facing forward in her carseat.


Just before her birthday, the law regarding child car seats changed recommending that parents wait until their child is 2 before turning them from the rear-facing position. However, after my pediatrician saw how cramped up my very tall one year old's legs were in the seat, she highly recommended going ahead and turning her around to prevent leg and hip injuries during the event of a collision.
So far, she's really liked looking out the windshield and swinging her legs!

Fall is Here!

We are finally enjoying some cooler weather here in East Texas, so Sage and I have been enjoying some afternoon Adventure Walks!

She really liked playing with the rocks!


But then we found a stick!


And the stick was lots of fun!


And then we watched some town ants carrying leaves across the road.


We had so much fun on our first little Adventure Walk and I know there's many more to come!

Running Loose

I recently reinjured my back, so Sage has been running loose while I am healing. She's gotten away with a lot more than normal, but is great at keeping herself entertained!


I can't lift her, so she's had all her meals and snacks on the floor. She poured a whole bowl of popcorn on herself and enjoyed eating it off the floor.


She has also accomplished getting up and down the stairs from our porch, so has been running loose in the back yard!


I'm able to keep and eye on her and watch out for ants and snakes, but I can't quite keep up with her! She's having a ball and I hope to get back to being a good mommy very soon!
